Founder
Abd al-Jalil Al Rahwanji
Born in Damascus and educated in its schools. He entered the dyes and paints trade in 1960 under the master of the craft; he came to love the profession, and his passion was the great driver behind his research into the secrets of the industry. By 1972 he was a partner, owner and general manager of one of the small factories in Damascus at the time, and he went on researching and developing the work in that small plant — equipping it with modern machinery, widening the range of its products and improving their specifications.
In 1995 he opened a modern factory to meet the growing demand for the company's paints, its varied dyes and its asphaltic insulation materials. He was elected several times as head of the Craftsmen's Association for Paint Manufacturing and held that position until his death. He gave counsel and support to the members of his family until they became prominent businessmen, industrialists and traders across the Arab world.
He passed away in Damascus in 2020.
